KATHLEEN CAPDESUÑER is a director, theatre-maker, and artistic leader currently based in NYC. She loves directing and making new work that is the right mix of weird, heartfelt, and ambitious.
Kathleen is the third Roundabout Directing Fellow and has been in residence at RTC since 2018. She’s assisted leading directors such as: Margot Bordelon, James Macdonald, Daniel Aukin, Patricia McGregor, and Emily Mann.
Kathleen has developed work with: Roundabout Theatre Company, American Lore Theatre, Columbia/Signature, Ensemble Studio Theatre, PlayxPlay, McCarter Theatre Center, Little y, and internationally in the Fringe Festival circuit.
She is a The Civilians’ R&D Group Director, Manhattan Theatre Club Directing Fellow, Latinx Theatre Commons Steering Committee Member, The COOP Youth Advisory Board Member, and McCarter Theatre Center Directing Apprenticeship alumna.
Kathleen is a first-generation Cuban-American from Kissimmee, Florida and committed to making equitable change in this industry. She’s an ENFJ (basically Obama & Oprah combined— check it out) who enjoys doing yoga, and checking out the best foodie spots in the city.
